Description
At the fence line, wording does the work. This sign tells pedestrians plainly that the sidewalk ahead is closed for construction and that they should use the other side — no ambiguity, no interpretation, no one squeezing past the barricade into the work zone. It’s set in the MUTCD work-zone format used on New York City streets, which is exactly what a DOT inspector wants to see where foot traffic gets redirected.
Production happens in-house at our NYC facility. The sign comes in 12″ × 24″ and 24″ × 48″ sizes on your choice of 0.40 or 0.63 aluminum, Dibond 3mm, or coroplast — aluminum for closures that outlast the seasons, Dibond for rigid lightweight mounting, coroplast for quick jobs. Engineer-Grade and High-Intensity reflective faces keep it visible at night, and an optional Seton UltraTuff overlaminate adds a durable, wipe-clean protective layer over the print.
When the schedule moves, we move: standard delivery across the five boroughs and Long Island is 2–3 business days, and 24-hour rush is available on most signs. Everything ships ready to mount straight onto a fence, sidewalk shed, or barricade with zip ties or bolts.
Contractor accounts and volume pricing are available if you’re outfitting more than one site. For closures where you want the arrow doing the pointing, see our Sidewalk Closed Sign Use Opposite Side and Sidewalk Closed Use Opposite Sidewalk Sign in the same category.

FAQ
Is the Seton UltraTuff overlaminate worth adding? For street-level signs that get touched, taped, and washed, yes — it protects the print from abrasion and makes graffiti and grime easier to wipe off.
Can I mount this directly to a chain-link fence? Yes. All substrates take zip ties or bolts cleanly; for chain-link, most crews zip-tie at all four corners so the sign stays flat and visible.
