Description
Construction sites in New York City don’t ban smoking as a courtesy — they ban it under F.D.N.Y. Code Section 1404, and this sign says so in exactly those words. Citing the code by name puts the weight of FDNY enforcement behind the posting: smoking on site is a violation with penalties, not a judgment call. It is the no-smoking sign to hang where inspectors, subs, and delivery drivers will all pass it, and it is made to NYC posting requirements for active construction sites.
This is also the only sign in our no-smoking line offered up to 36″ × 48″ — a fence-scale format that stays readable across a yard or from the street. Four smaller sizes, from 12″ × 18″ to 24″ × 30″, handle doors, hoists, and interior postings. Every sign is printed in-house at our NYC facility on your choice of 0.40 aluminum for the life of the project, styrene for interior mounting, or coroplast for short-term phases, with UV- and weather-resistant inks throughout. The optional Seton UltraTuff overlaminate adds protection where signs take abuse.
Order by size, material, and lamination and we deliver across the five boroughs and Long Island in 2–3 business days — 24-hour rush available when the inspection is tomorrow. Contractor accounts and volume pricing cover firms posting every site the same way.
Pair it with the Warning Restricted Area No Smoking sign at fuel and material storage to keep coverage consistent across the whole site.

FAQ
Do NYC construction sites need this specific sign?
Active NYC construction sites are expected to post no-smoking notices, and citing F.D.N.Y. Code Section 1404 makes the legal basis explicit. Many GCs standardize on this version for exactly that reason.
Which size works best on a construction fence?
The 36″ × 48″ format is built for fence lines and reads clearly from the street. Use the smaller sizes at doors, hoists, and interior posting points.
